This happens to all of us at times— we just need to be honest about it.

Do you ever feel like you’re not in the mood to pray? I know I do some days. Most of the time, if we’re not in the mood to pray it’s because we have a guilty conscience. We have some sin in our lives that we haven’t confessed and either pride or fear or some other basic emotion is getting in between us and our daily walk with our heavenly Father. Hal Lindsey once put it this way: “When we have unconfessed sin in our lives, we often stray from regular prayer. It’s like a situation where you borrow money from a friend and until you have the money to pay them back, you tend to avoid that friend out of guilt and because you’re afraid they’ll ask about the money.
